How to Access your Smartlock Space
Setup
Receive a text message.
If you have not received it, email us support@smartlockselfstorage.com or call us at (888) 424-5971.
Follow the link to download the app on your phone.
You will need the 6-digit temporary password provided in the text to log in for the first time. The temporary password will expire in 24 hours.
Open and log into the app.
Open the app – Storage Smart Entry by Nokē
Username – Use the cell number that you received your text message
Password – Use the 6 digit code from your text message (can also be found on the rental confirmation page)
Verify your information and create a new password.
Open the gate or access door
Drive up to the gate. Or walk up to the access door.
Open the app. Storage Smart Entry by Nokē
Select the gate or access door.
The icon for the gate or access door should be blue if you are close enough.
When you touch it, it will turn green and open.
Open your unit
Wake up the lock.
The button on the lock is not lit when its asleep.
Press the button to wake it up. It will beep and light up.
Open the app. Storage Smart Entry by Nokē
Select your unit.
The icon color should be blue if you are close enough
When you touch it, it will turn green and unlock your unit.
Slide the latch open. Your door is ready to open.
Lock your unit
Close your unit door. Completely.
Slide the latch shut. The lock light will turn red. Red light means locked. Done!
Share your digital key
Only you can also share access with trusted friends and family. Click the plus sign in the top right-hand corner of the app and select “Share Unit”. Type in the new user’s cell phone number.
The new user will instantly receive an automated text message with a link to the “Storage Smart Entry by Nokē” app and your digital key which grants them access to the unit.
You can revoke access anytime.
Troubleshooting
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone’s settings. If you have an iPhone, there are two places to enable Bluetooth – in Settings under Bluetooth, or by going to Settings and scrolling down to the Storage Smart Entry app and turning Bluetooth on there.
Make sure Location Services are turned on in your phone’s settings. (Android Only)
No cell signal? Make sure to log into the app while you still have a signal before approaching your unit. Once you have the app open and authenticated, you’ll still be able to access your unit even if you lose signal.
Forgot your password? You can reset your password by selecting “reset password” on the login screen.
Still not working? Try these:
Check your app version to make sure you are up to date by searching “Storage Smart Entry” in the App Store or Play Store.
Force close out of the app and log back in.
Turn Bluetooth off and back on again.
Restart your phone.
